BridgeNow Academy sign MOU with Jain group to train engineers in emerging technologies

Bengaluru based Jain (Deemed-to-be University) and BridgeNow Academy (BNOW), the training arm of umlaut India, a global consulting and engineering services organization have signed MoU to collaborate in the field of emerging technologies, more specifically “Digital twin”. Digital twin refers to a digital replica of potential and actual physical assets, processes, people, places, systems, and devices that can be used in manufacturing, aerospace, etc. BridgeNow Academy, affiliated to NSDC (National Skill Development Corporation), is also a coaching partner for several high-tech projects in diverse commercial and defense establishments.

The MoU is aimed at creating a large pool of highly qualified engineers, scientists, and research scholars in advanced technologies. This collaboration will make high-end technology solutions readily available to Indian establishments leading to efficient product life cycle management and higher levels of innovation.

Jain University, known for providing globally relevant education, is also associated with the Society of Indian Aerospace Technologies and Industries (SIATI) for training Aerospace Engineers through knowledge and research. The Department of Aerospace Engineering at the university has been established to give a higher level of industry exposure to the students and impart necessary skills. It has an expert faculty group in the areas of Fracture Mechanics, Damage Tolerance, Fatigue, Composites, Structural Dynamics, and Aeroelasticity, led by Prof. B. Dattaguru, a Padmshree Awardee, and Former Chairman of Aerospace Engineering, IISc and Prof. A.R. Upadhya, Former Director of NAL.

“The strategic MOU between Jain (Deemed-to-be University) and BNOW is expected to benefit organizations and institutions in future technologies and our students are expected to gain knowledge, author good academic papers and aim for patents”, stated Dr. N V H Krishnan, Registrar, Jain (Deemed-to-be University) on the occasion.
